•      Harsh Operation Environment

The devices are to be deployed in the outdoor cabinet. Temperatures within the cabinets are up to +140°F ~ +158°F, in the northern U.S., it would be as low as -20°F.

Dust or moisture would permeate in the outdoor deployed devices and slow down the heat dissipation of the devices and cause short-circuiting of PCB.

The Perimeter Security devices are installed in open airfields, and easily exposed to lightning.

  •      System Network Requirements

The advanced perimeter security system integrates the function of video surveillance, intrusion detection, broadcast, and lighting linkage in warning area. The higher definition of video surveillance demands, widens the bandwidth requirement of the video network. The data exchange among different systems in a unified network may influence each other and cause transmission delay.

Outdoor deployed devices rely on network links to communicate. Should any failure of network links or nodes occur, the system will be unstable or even cause loss therein; especially for the video surveillance system, docking guidance system and baggage handling system. The failure of network communication can bring huge risks, and impacts the safety and efficient airport operation.

In the airfield, the deployment position of the Wi-Fi - Access Point, and remote IP camera are sometimes not located near the power sources; for instance, location on a 33 feet high pole, which powering is inconvenient and creates challenges for power and lighting protection. 

The information system integration of mega airports requires the data exchange among various subsystems. The unified airport operation central dispatch and control platform requires the underlying system data always available, based on the requirements of the system platform. The data exchange among different IP addresses are the foundation for realizing the data intercommunication of each system.
